Bahrain MEW has short listed interested contractors and is expecting requests for proposals (RFP) from early October for the design, financing, construction and operation of a green-field sewage treatment plant in Muharraq, Bahrain, with initial capacity of up to 100,000 cubic meters a day.

The project is one of the first examples of privatized wastewater treatment in the region worth $150m and is expecting to commission the plant by mid 2010.

Transco’s Fujairah Pipeline Project:
