Bapco has achieved a major safety and reliability milestone, with the Refinery Reliability Clock (RRC) reaching 90 days without a reset on 24 August.
“This milestone could have only been achieved with the great team effort of all employees and contractors at all areas of the company,” Bapco deputy chief executive for refining and marketing, and chairman of environment, health and safety committee Ebrahim Talib said.
“We constantly endeavour to foster a sustained reliability culture in which personal/process, environment, health, safety and quality always come first,” he said. “We look forward to our next milestone of 180 days without a Reliability Clock reset.
Our objective is to continue motivating employees towards safe and reliable operation of the refinery.
Bapco is determined to move towards work habits and business processes based on a robust safety and reliability culture,” he said.
“Our Key Performance Indicators show how well we have moved towards building safe work habits and good business processes into a robust safety and reliability culture,” he added.
