Iranian gas refineries processed 43 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas during the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year despite undergoing maintenance operations.
NIGC's deputy for operations Abdol-hossein Samari made the remarks, adding the refineries also produced 48 million barrels of gas condensate and 739 metric tons of LPG during the period, source reported.
South Pars, Khangiran and Ilam gas refineries produced 253,000 tons of sulfur and 398 metric tons of ethane during the period, he said.
During Farvardin, the first Iranian month, gas refineries set a record by processing 538 million cubic meters (MMcm) of natural gas on a daily basis, said Samari.
Last year, Iranian refineries produced 168 bcm of natural gas, 25 MMcm of gas condensate, a million tons of sulfur, 2 million metric tons of LPG and 1.5 million metric tons of ethane, he said.
