Pakistan Team to Visit Iran to Finalize IP Gas Pipeline Contract

Following the recent visit of Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangeneh to Islamabad accompanying President Hassan Rouhani, a delegation from Pakistan is scheduled to visit Tehran soon to finalize agreements on launching of the IP Gas Pipeline.

 

“The issue was stressed during the visit of President Rouhani and the accompanying economic delegation to Pakistan, a delegation will travel to Iran in near future to finalize the agreements reached during the president’s visit,” said managing director of the National Iranian Gas Exporting Company (NIGEC), Alireza Kameli.

 

“The petroleum minister discussed with Pakistani officials issues related to the gas export contract and reached agreements in this regard including the visit by a delegation to finalize implementation of the gas export contract,” he added.

 

The NIGEC chief also said that based on president’s reiteration, the Iranian company is seriously considering gas interactions with neighboring countries which are believed to strengthen economic and cultural relations.
