India Seeks Financial Aid Worth USD 5-7 Bn From World Bank for Pipeline Projects

Date : Mar 03, 2017

India has sought financial aid worth USD 5-7 billion from World Bank for a pipeline of projects.

India will seek funding only through the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) of the World Bank and will discontinue the funding from International Development Agency (IDA), as the IBRD offers loans to middle income developing countries, while IDA provides loans and grants to the world's poorest developing countries.
