Iranshahr-Zahedan Gas Pipeline to Come On Stream Soon

Managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Hamidreza Araqi said the Iranshahr-Zahedan gas pipeline with the length of 265 kilometer is being tested and will be officially inaugurated in the next few days.

 

According to the report of the public relations of the NIGC, Araqi added that Iranshahr-Zahedan pipeline project is one of the biggest gas projects of the NIGC.

 

He noted that the plan is aimed at delivering gas to at least 130,000 subscribers in the city of Zahedan and adjacent towns, as well as providing the province’s power plants and industries with the precious energy source.

 

At the same time, executive operation for gas distribution to Zabol as well as Chabahar for the purpose of petrochemical industries development (Makran) would be started soon.
