Iraq Plans to Build a New System to Protect the Oil Pipelines Network

Mr. Jabbar Ali Hussein Al-Luiebi the minister of oil called the concerned directorates in the ministry of oil to put an integrated plan to build a new system to protect the pipelines network inside Iraq by depending on the new technology and the airplanes.

 

The system is supposed to be executed during the first three months of 2018. The directions was during the meetings of the operations room which was headed by the minister of oil.

 

Mr. Assim Jihad the spokesman of the ministry of oil said that the ministry of oil is planning to use the drones to monitor the pipelines which are extended on the vast areas of Iraq. And to put monitoring systems and advanced cameras to secure the pipelines of the oil products and gas. He said also that the directions of the minister of oil are to start the work during the first 3 months of 2018.

 

Mr. Jihad said also that the plan will save the oil wealth by keeping it from sabotage. And the minister of oil ordered the officials of the ministry of oil to speed-up preparing the necessary documents and needs to invite the specialized companies with the pipeline security systems.
