Project Scope

The project scope involves the construction of 150,000 bpd crude oil gathering centre - 32, near Kuwait’s Burgan oil field. It will also include a booster station modification.

The GC will process crude oil and associated gas produced from the Arifjan, Marat, Minagish, Oolite and Burgan Wara fields.

The facilities to be constructed will have the following product capabilities:
• Total crude oil production - 120,000 barrels per day (bpd)
• Crude oil desalting - 120,000 bpd
• Total condensate production - 12,500 bpd of condensate
• Total effluent water - 280,000 bpd of water
• Total gas production - 83 million cubic feet a day of gas

Kuwait’s oil fields are currently connected to 26 gathering centres, serving as a collection location for crude produced at several wells and providing initial treatment through the separation of associated gas and removing salt.
