Project Scope

The project involves the development of Umm Shaif Gas Cap Condensate infrastructure, located at 84-kilometers north-west of Abu Dhabi Islands.

The Umm Shaif oil and gas field is located in the Umm Shaif and Nasr hydrocarbons block of Abu Dhabi’s premium offshore concession.

Adnoc has undertaken the project to tap into the Umm Shaif offshore hydrocarbons field, as part of its 2030 gas strategy to develop Abu Dhabi’s strategic gas cap resources.

KBR has been appointed as the Project Management Consultant (PMC).

The project scope includes gas processing platform, a separation platform, a riser tower platform, a wellhead platforms, laying of intra-field pipelines, flare and water disposal towers, a pipeline connecting offshore platforms to the onshore processing plant, subsea pipelines, cables, and associated facilities.

The project aimed at increasing both gas and condensate output from the Umm Shaif field. The gas production would be increased by approximately 600 million standard cubic feet per day and condensate production by about 50,000 barrels per day.

Project Structure:
The project is being developed by a joint venture (JV) of ADNOC Offshore, who holds a majority stake of 60 percent, Total (20 percent), PetroChina (10 percent) and ENI (10 percent).
