Dewa Connects Phase V 900 MW PV Project in MBR Solar Park to the Grid

China Energy Engineering Corporation announced in a statement that, the second phase of the Dubai Phase V 900 MW Photovoltaic Project, which was constructed by China Energy Engineering Zhejiang Thermal Power and commissioned by the East China Electric Power Research Institute, was connected to the grid for power generation.

The grid-connected capacity is 100 MW. Item parameters are displayed normally, and all devices are running well.

The fifth phase of the 900-megawatt photovoltaic project in Dubai is located in the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai, UAE, covering a total area of 10.17 square kilometers.

The project will be constructed in three phases. The project adopts advanced solar photovoltaic bifacial technology and increases power generation through single-axis tracking. It is a representative project using advanced solar photovoltaic power generation technology in the Middle East.

After the project is completed, based on 900 MW of photovoltaics (2.613 million solar cell modules in total), it can provide about 2.268 billion kWh of electricity to the local area every year, reduce carbon emissions by 1.18 million tons, and supply clean electricity to 270,000 local households, statement mentioned.
