ACWA Power has announced in a statement that Al Dur II independent water and power plant (IWPP) in Bahrain started its operations.
The independent water and power project has a capacity of 1,500-megawatt (MW) power and 227,000 cubic meters/day of desalinated water, the company mentioned in a statement.
The full financial impact of the project operation is expected to show starting Q3 2022.
ACWA Power owns a 60% stake in the project’s company, Haya Power & Desalination Co., the statement added.
