NLC India Signs MoU for 1 GW Renewable Energy Project in North East

NLC India inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Assam Power Distribution Company (APDCL) and marks its footprints in North East region.

 

NLCIL under the administrative control of Ministry of Coal, and APDCL wholly-owned by the government of Assam have entered into a MoU to form a joint venture company with equity participation of 51 percent by NLCIL and 49 percent by APDCL to develop 1,000 MW of solar power project in the state.

 

NLCIL operationalizes mining along with power generation capacity of 6,061 MW including renewable energy capacity of 1,421.06 MW with 1,370.06 MW of solar and 51 MW of wind-based power generation.
