IOOC Plans to Increase Production from Iran's Offshore Fields

The CEO of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) outlined the company's significant steps to increase oil production capacity from Iran's offshore fields in the Persian Gulf and restore production capacity to before the sanctions.

 

According to IOOC, Alireza Mehdizadeh said: “In line with the policies of the 13th administration to increase oil production and exports, especially the emphasis of the Minister of Petroleum and CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company on restoring production capacity, necessary planning was made at Iranian Offshore Oil Company to return the company's production capacity to the conditions before the 2018 sanctions during the 6-month period from October 2021 to March 2022.

 

He added: "Accordingly, in Khark and Lavan regions, which had the problem of reduced production, two major and effective measures were taken immediately."
