Iran to Double Petchem Output by 2032 – NPC

The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) announced that the production capacity of Iran's petrochemical output will more than double by 2032.

 

Morteza Shahmirzaei said at the official opening ceremony of Ibn Sina Petrochemical Project, which was attended by the President and the Minister of Petroleum: "Currently, 68 petrochemical complexes are operational with a total annual production capacity of 90 million tons.”

 

The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company noted: "According to the plans, all petrochemicals will be produced within the country. Also, by 2032 (8th Development Plan), the current production capacity of petrochemical products will more than double, ie 200 million tons per year."
