Iraq Inks a Memorandum of Joint Cooperation with the Oman Oil and Gas Institute

In implementation of the government vision and the strategy of the Ministry of Oil aimed at developing national human resources in the oil sector, under the patronage and presence of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul Ghani, a memorandum of joint cooperation was signed on January 24th between the management of the Arab Oil Institute and the Competency Development Company – Oman Oil and Gas Institute.

 

Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul Ghani, praised the strengthening of bilateral cooperation opportunities between the two brotherly countries to develop technical competencies in the oil and gas sector, in addition to exchanging experiences between the two sides.

 

For his part, the Undersecretary for Extraction Affairs, Mr. Bassem Muhammad Khudair, said that the memorandum aims to organize programs and training courses to develop human competencies in the oil and gas sector.

 

For his part, Mr. Nasr Nasser Saeed, Director General of the Oman Oil and Gas Institute, expressed his happiness at concluding this memorandum with Iraq, expressing their keenness to expand the horizons of joint cooperation between the two countries, exchange experiences and develop technical competencies, especially in the fields of drilling and extraction.
