Christos Drosos, Senior Surveyor has just joined ABL Middle East to support the growing needs of our clients in the MENA region, based in Dubai. “We are thrilled to have Christos on board the ABL Middle East team. He is a multi-talented person with degrees in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture as well as a LLB-Bachelor of Law and lots of working experience on-shore and off-shore along them. I’m sure Christos will become an invaluable asset to our clients” Wayne Neves, Managing Director Maritime (MENA and India Region).

Christos started his career at sea in 1999 as an Engineer Cadet, whilst studying at the Merchant Marine Academy in Greece, and transitioned to shore-based work in 2002, first becoming an Assistant Technical Superintendent, and then pursued a career as a Newbuilding Engineer in 2006.

In 2002, he was accepted to study full-time Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (Meng). After finishing his studies, he worked as a Senior Engineer for Noble Denton, in Dubai, UAE.

After departing from Noble Denton, due to his passion for Engineering, Marine Claims, and the Law, Christos completed a LLB in English Law, in 2013.

In 2012, Christos continued working as a surveyor, initially as an independent and then with CSL Global in 2013, where he split his time in dealing with Marine Claims, Project Cargo, and other types of Surveys and Engineering/Naval Architecture reviews.

“I’m very excited to join ABL in this exciting time of growth for the company. I believe my knowledge and experience in Engineering, Naval Architecture and Law can help support our clients in even the most complex scenarios.” Christos Drosos, Senior Surveyor, ABL Middle East.

At CSL Global, Christos spent nearly a decade before moving on and joining ABL in Dubai, UAE, as a Senior Marine Surveyor dealing with Marine Surveys and Claims.
