Sterlite Power has secured new orders worth Rs 2,000 crore in Q2/FY24 fostering its global products and services (GPS) business.
In the first half of this financial year, the company accumulated Rs 3,300 crore in orders, comprising high-performance, green products such as conductors, optical ground wire (OPGW), cables, and specialized engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, from both domestic and international markets. This represents a surge of Rs 700 crore compared to the previous quarter.
Sterlite has already secured major orders for projects like Power Grid Corporation of India’s 765kV D/C BHADLA III-SIKAR II (Part-1) and OPGW cable supply for Part-E transmission project in Rajasthan, supporting renewable energy evacuation efforts in the western region of the country. Internationally, the company is strengthening its presence in the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East.
In its cables segment, the company will supply 33 kV cables to Phase-II of Ahmedabad Metro rail and Phase-I of Surat Metro rail projects. Additionally, it will provide 132 kV cables to the Sawai Mansingh Hospital expansion project in Jaipur and 33 kV cables to energy-intensive data centres in Bengaluru.
Beside supplying power products, Sterlite has received contracts for the uprate of existing power transmission lines of 132 kV and 220 kV for Rajasthan and Odisha.
