Uttarakhand Government, JSW Neo Energy Ink MoU Worth Rs 15,000 cr

Uttarakhand government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) worth Rs 15,000 crore with the JSW Neo Energy at the roadshow of its Global Investor Summit in New Delhi.

 

As per the MoU, two pumped storage projects of 1,500 MW will be developed in Almora district of the state, in a span of five to six years. The state government also signed MoUs with other organizations.

 

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami underlined the need for development of good infrastructure in the state, and informed that the 'single window system' has been improved. The state has identified sectors such as tourism, Ayush, food processing, automobile, renewable energy (RE), information technology and pharma.

 

The CM further said that the summit, which the Uttarakhand government is organizing, will be on the pattern of 'Vibrant Gujarat'.

 

JSW Neo Energy, is a subsidiary of JSW Energy, which produces power from thermal, hydro and solar sources and the company’s presence extends across several Indian states.
