CM YS Reddy lays Foundations Stones for 28 AP Transco Substations

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has virtually laid the foundation stones as well as inaugurated AP Transco substations, which will come up across Andhra Pradesh.

 

Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (AP Transco) is developing 28 substations at a cost of Rs 3,100 crore. Of these 28 AP Transco substations, CM has inaugurated 12 substations, and laid foundation stones for 16 substations.

 

Substations with different capacities: 132/33 kV, 220/132 kV, 400/220 kV, and 400/132 kV, will be established in 28 locations covering the districts of Kurnool, Nandyal, YSR Kadapa, Sri Satya Sai, Prakasam, Guntur, Eluru, West Godavari, Konaseema, East Godavari, Kakinada, Anakapalli, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Palnadu, Nellore, Annamayya.

 

As part of strengthening the overall power network for 24x7 quality power, AP Transco is setting up power transmission infrastructure with substations and connected power lines.
