Suzlon Wins Contract for 99 MW Wind Power Project

The Suzlon Group has received an order from Vibrant Energy for the supply of 33 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower for a 99 MW wind power project, which is expected to be commissioned by FY-25.

The contract for the larger wind turbine model from the new three MW series, the S144-140m is part of the agreement wherein Suzlon Energy will undertake the equipment supply, provide erection and commissioning services along with comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) services, post-commissioning.

A project of this size can power around 307 thousand households, with the potential to curb nearly 2.92 lakh tonne of CO2 emissions annually. For the leading renewable energy solutions provider, the order will enable it to provide round-the-clock renewable energy to customers in the commercial & industrial (C&I) segment.

Featuring a 144 mtrs. rotor diameter, Suzlon's three MW turbines are designed to unlock low wind sites and deliver improved energy yield, and boasts of a 85-90 percent local content.

Vibrant Energy is a long-term partner engaged in assisting corporate consumers to meet their sustainability and decarbonization targets.
