OIL Unit Inks MoU for Integrated Waste? To?Clean?Energy Projects in Haryana

Oil Green Energy Limited has signed memoranda of understanding with the municipalities of Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar and Ambala in Haryana to develop four integrated compressed biogas and waste?to?energy projects. The facilities, designed to process around 5,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste per day, are expected to generate 70–75 tonnes of compressed biogas and 50 MW of green power, using scientific segregation to maximize recycling and energy recovery.

By converting different waste fractions into clean energy and reducing landfilling, the initiative strengthens Haryana’s sustainable waste management efforts while supporting national Waste?to?Wealth and circular bioenergy objectives.

For Oil India, the collaboration represents a significant step in scaling integrated waste?to?clean?energy solutions and diversifying its low?carbon portfolio, with potential long?term operational and environmental benefits for municipal stakeholders and the broader energy market.
