Nesma & Partners, Saur Ink MoU for Recycled Water Infra Project in Riyadh

Nesma & Partners and Saur Saudi Arabia, part of the global water solutions group Saur, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly pursue a strategic recycled water infrastructure opportunity in Riyadh.

The agreement was formalized during the French-Saudi Investment Roundtable Meeting in Paris on August 24, 2026, held in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, and French President Emmanuel Macron.

The MoU builds on the strategic partnership established between the two companies in September 2025 and will see Nesma & Partners and Saur collaborate on preparing for the next phase of the tender process for the strategic recycled water infrastructure opportunity.

Under the proposed collaboration, the companies will combine Saur’s international expertise in water and wastewater management with Nesma & Partners’ local market knowledge, engineering and construction capabilities, and experience in delivering major infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia.

The scope of the potential collaboration extends beyond the Riyadh recycled water opportunity and includes municipal and industrial water infrastructure, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects, operations and maintenance (O&M) services, water reuse, digital water solutions, and industrial water applications.

The partnership is expected to support Saudi Arabia’s efforts to strengthen water security, improve wastewater management, expand water reuse and optimize water resources in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Patrick Blethon, Executive Chairman of Saur Group, said the agreement marks a new stage in the partnership between the two companies and reflects their shared ambition to contribute to a major infrastructure development in the Kingdom.

Samer Abdul Samad, President and CEO of Nesma & Partners, said the MoU represents an important step in expanding the company’s contribution to Saudi Arabia’s water infrastructure sector and pursuing opportunities that support the Kingdom’s long-term development.

The agreement further highlights the growing economic and investment ties between Saudi Arabia and France, while reinforcing both companies’ commitment to developing sustainable, resilient and innovative water infrastructure solutions across the Kingdom.
