Alkhorayef Wins SAR 166.9mn Water Infrastructure O&M Contracts in KSA

Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Company (AWPT) has been awarded two operation and maintenance (O&M) contracts by the National Water Company (NWC) and the Saudi Irrigation Organization (SIO) with a combined value of more than SAR 166.9 million, further strengthening the company’s presence in Saudi Arabia’s water infrastructure sector.

The contracts cover the operation and maintenance of water, wastewater, treated water, and groundwater transmission and distribution systems across Al Khobar and the Riyadh region.

The larger of the two contracts was awarded by the National Water Company (NWC) for the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater networks in Al Khobar City.

Valued at SAR 101.32 million (excluding VAT), the contract will be executed over a period of 36 months.

Under the agreement, Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and ensuring the reliability of Al Khobar’s water distribution and wastewater collection networks, supporting service continuity, operational efficiency, and infrastructure sustainability.

In a separate award, the Saudi Irrigation Organization (SIO) awarded Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies a contract valued at SAR 65.59 million (excluding VAT) for the operation and maintenance of treated water and groundwater pumping, transmission, and distribution systems across the Central Sector of Riyadh City, its suburbs, and Al-Aflaj.

The 60-month contract covers the operation and maintenance of pumping stations, transmission pipelines, and water distribution systems, ensuring the reliable delivery of treated water and groundwater supplies while enhancing the efficiency of irrigation infrastructure.

The latest awards reinforce Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies’ position as one of Saudi Arabia’s leading providers of water infrastructure operation and maintenance services, supporting the Kingdom’s ongoing investments in sustainable water management and infrastructure development under Saudi Vision 2030.
