Dredging Corporation of India Signs MoU with Indian Oil for Fuel Supply

The Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) to secure long-term fuel supply for its dredging fleet.

Valued at Rs 21,570.7 million, the agreement spans five years and is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted maritime dredging operations across major ports in India. Under the arrangement, IOCL will provide scheduled fuel supplies to support DCI’s fleet operations and maintenance requirements, thereby improving operational readiness and reducing exposure to fuel price volatility. The partnership is expected to streamline procurement logistics, enabling better planning and coordination across DCI’s operational hubs. By ensuring a stable fuel supply chain, the agreement will enhance service continuity for ongoing and upcoming dredging projects, which are critical for port development, navigational safety, and coastal infrastructure.

The collaboration also reinforces the role of public sector enterprises in strengthening maritime infrastructure efficiency and energy security for strategic operations. It is expected to improve cost efficiency, reduce supply disruptions, and strengthen strategic fuel resilience for India’s dredging and port development ecosystem over the contract period supporting long-term maritime infrastructure growth and operational reliability across Indian ports.
