ACME Solar Commissions 38 MW/82 MWh BESS Phase II Project in Rajasthan

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has achieved an important milestone in India’s renewable energy sector with the progress of its large battery energy storage project in Rajasthan.

On March 3, 2026, the company informed the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India about the commissioning of the second phase of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project through an official regulatory filing.

The development has been executed through the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Suryodaya Private Limited. Under the newly commissioned phase, the project has added a capacity of 38 MW / 82 MWh to the overall energy storage facility. The project is located in the villages of Sanwara and Mehar Nagar in the Pokhran Tehsil of the Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan.

This second phase forms part of a much larger BESS infrastructure project being developed by ACME Solar. The total planned capacity of the facility is 285 MW / 600 MWh, making it one of the largest-scale battery storage projects in the region. The company had earlier provided an update regarding the project on February 25, 2026, indicating steady progress in the execution timeline.
