India’s Green Energy Budget Allocations Surge 53% in FY 25-26

India's renewable energy budget has surged from Rs. 15.21 billion in 2013-14 to Rs. 265.4938 billion in 2025-26, reflecting strong government commitment to the clean energy transition. The sector achieved record capacity addition of 44.51 GW by November 2025, with total renewable capacity reaching 253.96 GW. 

Solar power crossed the 100 GW milestone while wind energy exceeded 50 GW, supported by flagship schemes like PM Surya Ghar and National Green Hydrogen Mission. Market response has been consistently positive across budget cycles, with renewable energy stocks showing significant gains post-budget announcements.
