IOC to Invest Rs 1,100-Cr in Green Energy

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) will invest Rs 1,086 crore in its subsidiary, Terra Clean, to add 4.3 GW of renewable energy capacity, building on a previous Rs 1,304 crore equity investment for 1 GW.

This initiative marks a significant expansion in its green energy portfolio. IOCL also finalized a five-year LNG purchase agreement with Trafigura for 2.5 million tonne, valued between USD 1.3–1.4 billion, to meet rising domestic gas demand. The supplies, linked to Henry Hub prices, will begin in the latter half of FY26, consisting of 27 cargoes.

In 2024–25, Indian Oil's sales volume surpassed 100 million tonne for the first time in its history.
