ME-TECH to Focus on Opportunities in Downstream Sector

The 15th edition of ME-TECH, the Middle East Technology Forum for Refining & Petrochemicals, will take place in Dubai from May 6-8.

The event will focus on addressing challenges and opportunities faced by the downstream sector, including core refining technologies, petrochemical integration, energy efficiency optimization, catalyst innovation, co-processing of alternative feeds, and technologies and solutions accelerating the energy transition.

To remain competitive, refiners and petrochemical producers in the Middle East must enhance efficiency through digitalization, optimize feedstock use, expand into sustainable products, and invest in decarbonization.

By integrating biofuels, green hydrogen, and circular economy practices, they can future proof their operations while maintaining global leadership.

This year, there is an elevated focus on AI & Digitalization, with unique insights from Plant.Digital.

Leading global licensors, technology providers, and digital solutions providers, including Wood, Axens, CLG/Eni, ExxonMobil, BASF, Shell Catalysts & Technologies, W. R. Grace, Lyondellbasell (LYB), Plant.Digital, KBC (A Yokogawa company), Alfa Laval, and others, will highlight potential pathways for these industries.

The event will include a pre-conference seminar titled "Powering Ahead: Middle East's Role in a Sustainable Energy Future," a keynote fireside chat, a market overview, panel discussions, producer case studies, and 25+ technical presentations showcasing the latest technologies and strategies to boost flexibility, reliability, and profitability in refining and petrochemical operations.

Key topics include technology solutions for maximizing performance, flexibility, reducing the carbon footprint, strategic integration with petrochemicals, asset decarbonization and energy efficiency, catalyst innovations, management, and precious metals recovery, and digital tools and technology shaping smart refining and petrochemicals production.

Networking opportunities will be available with senior executives from regional refiners and petrochemical producers, leading global licensors, technology providers, and digital solutions providers.

Change, adaptability, and foresight are key for all downstream producers, and attending ME-TECH 2025 in Dubai will be an integral part of the conversation.
