CleanMax Signs 100 MW Renewable Energy Agreement with Amazon

CleanMax has inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Amazon to provide 100 MW of renewable energy. As part of this agreement, CleanMax will develop and operate a wind energy project in Koppal, Karnataka.

The project will connect to the national grid, helping offset electricity consumption at Amazon’s facilities. Scheduled to become operational by Q2 of 2026, the wind farm is expected to generate approx.355 million kWh of clean electricity annually, reducing around 2,52,000 tonne of CO2 emissions each year – equivalent to planting 14.8 million trees.

"As a company that has always championed sustainability, CleanMax is elated to collaborate with Amazon to help decarbonize its operations while also advancing India's green energy landscape,” said Managing Director of CleanMax, Kuldeep Jain.

CleanMax is a leader in Asia’s commercial and industrial renewable energy sector, managing 2 GW of operating renewable assets with a skilled team operating across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
