Sunsure Energy Inks 300 MW Solar PPA with SECI

Sunsure Energy, backed by Partners Group, has signed a solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to supply 300 MW of renewable energy.

The company will develop a Rs 1,800 crore solar park in Bikaner, Rajasthan, with an expected completion by December, 2025. The agreement includes a peak capacity of 450 MW with ISTS connectivity and marks Sunsure’s largest PPA, won under SECI’s Tranche XIII auction. This venture into the utility segment complements Sunsure’s existing commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy business while enhancing portfolio scalability, as per the company.

Sunsure currently operates 500 MW in assets and aims to scale to five gigawatts within three years using a combination of solar and wind energy. Partners Group has committed USD 400 million in equity to support Sunsure’s growth into India's largest industrial decarbonization firm.
