L&T Wins Orders in Power Transmission and Distribution in India, Overseas

Larsen & Toubro's (L&T) power transmission and distribution vertical has won a significant order to implement an advanced distribution management system in West Bengal.

Continuing to secure substantial orders in both domestic and international regions, the company has bagged a key substation order in Saudi Arabia, designed to assist in the evacuation of solar-generated power. Additionally, in Kuwait, L&T has been awarded a contract for a 400 kV substation.

Expanding its presence in the UAE, L&T secured contracts in Dubai for extra-high voltage (EHV) substations, including a 400/132kV substation. These projects are part of Dubai's ongoing efforts to enhance its power transmission infrastructure, ensuring a robust and sustainable energy network to support the city's growth as a preferred destination for living, working, and tourism.

This order falls under L&T's classification of "large" orders, defined as those within the Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore range.
