Hitachi Energy Plans Rs 2,000cr Investment in India Over Next 5 Years

Switzerland-based technology player Hitachi Energy plans to invest Rs 2,000 crore in India over a period of four to five years.

 

The investment will be made towards expanding capacity of transformers, talent base and increasing portfolio.

 

Specifically, the outlay will be utilized for building capacity of large and small power transformers, and dry and traction transformers. Besides, the investment will be towards building capacity of insulation and components, strengthening the company's existing high voltage direct current (HVDC) capacity.

 

It will be focused on network control solution offerings to customers in industries, utilities, and transportation sectors.
