Sterling and Wilson Wins Rs 12 billion Solar EPC Project in Gujarat

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (SWREL) has secured a Rs 12 billion contract for a 500 MW solar PV project in Gujarat. The project will focus on the design, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the Balance of System (BOS), along with a three-year operations and maintenance (O&M) contract. This deal underscores the company’s strong position in India’s growing renewable energy sector.

The Letter of Intent (LoI) marks another milestone in Sterling and Wilson’s commitment to India’s renewable energy goals. As the sole entity responsible for the EPC work, the company will ensure seamless execution of the project.

Amit Jain, Global CEO of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, commented by stating, “This project will support India and Gujarat in advancing their clean energy objectives. The continued trust of customers reinforces our commitment to contributing to India’s renewable energy transition.”

This new addition to Sterling and Wilson’s solar energy portfolio aligns with India’s ambition to increase renewable energy capacity and fulfil its climate commitments. It also supports Gujarat’s push toward becoming a key player in clean energy production, driving further growth in the sector.
