A subsidiary of JSW Energy Ltd, JSW Neo Energy Ltd, has reached a major milestone by signing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for green energy projects that add up to 1,325 MW.
This comprises 300 MW with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) and 1,025 MW with Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI). These agreements support JSW Energy’s commitment to renewable energy expansion, aiming to reach 20 GW capacity by 2030.
A blended tariff of Rs 3.62 per KWh is offered by the SECI PPA, which is India’s largest wind PPA by a single bidder; on the other hand, the 25-year GUVNL solar PPA has a tariff of Rs 2.66/KWh. Now comprising 13.6 GW of locked-in generating capacity, JSW Energy’s varied portfolio comprises hydro, thermal, and wind projects.
As part of the company’s plan for strategic growth, it is building the 240 MW Kutehr Hydro power plant and the 500 MW/1,000 MWh battery energy storage system and green hydrogen plant that is coming shortly.
With a strong pipeline of 3.7 GW of solar, wind, and hybrid projects, JSW Energy is still committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2050 and advancing sustainable energy solutions throughout India.
