2015 batch IFS officer George Thomas, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG), has been appointed as Government Nominee Director on the Board of Oil India Limited (OIL).

Oil Marketing PSU HPCL has informed through exchange filing that the Administrative Ministry i.e. Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas dated May 10, 2024, has advised the nomination of Shri Vinod Seshan, Director, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas as a Government Director on the Board of HPCL vice Ms. Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary, with immediate effect for three years on co-terminus basis or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Shri Vinod Seshan, Director, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas is an IAS officer (2008 Assam Cadre). He possesses rich experience of Seventeen plus years with 13 Years plus experience in Govt. Sector.
