Juniper Green Energy Commissions its First Wind Power Project in Gujarat

Juniper Green Energy has successfully commissioned its first wind power project in Gujarat, adding 70 MW to the state’s renewable energy capacity. Currently, 25.2 MW is operational, marking a record completion almost 9 months ahead of the scheduled Commercial Operation Date (COD). The project has secured a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with GUVNL at a tariff of Rs 2.90 per unit, supporting affordable and eco-friendly energy solutions.

Expected to generate around 230 MUs of electricity annually, the project will help Gujarat’s renewable energy goals and cut carbon emissions by an estimated 2,13,055 tonnes each year. This will provide power to approximately 45,440 households, highlighting Juniper Green Energy’s commitment to advancing renewable energy adoption.

Naresh Mansukhani, CEO of Juniper Green Energy, commended the team’s efforts, saying the rapid commencement of their first wind power project is a testament to their exceptional work and dedication to sustainability. He expressed immense pride in their progress in renewable energy and looks forward to continuing with the same spirit and innovation.
