Mundkur S Kamath Named as Managing Director of MRPL

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Mundkur S Kamath for the post of Managing Director (MD) of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) on February 24.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Kamath has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation, i.e. November 30, 2027, or until further orders' whichever is earlier. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Refinery) in the same organization.

Kamath is an alumnus of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) and TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal. After joining MRPL in July 1992, he has held various positions in the organization apart from his stint on deputation at ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd (OMPL). Prior to his appointment as Executive Director (Refinery) of MRPL on June 1, 2022, he was serving as Group General Manager (Technical Services) at MRPL.
