Indosol Solar Unveils Innovative Plant to Manufacture Solar Modules

A division of Shirdi Sai Electricals (SSEL), Indosol Solar has opened an innovative plant in Andhra Pradesh to manufacture solar modules. This state-of-the-art production line, situated on roughly thirty acres of allotted land, represents a noteworthy turning point in the development of renewable energy in India.

The fully automated module line is intended to manufacture modules with different glass-glass and glass-backsheet combinations, including PERC, TOPCON, and HJT modules. The plant is equipped with cutting-edge technology and automation, enabling it to produce solar products of the highest caliber and establish new benchmarks for excellence in the sector.

As a special purpose vehicle (SPV) established by SSEL, the company’s initiative underscores its commitment to advancing India’s renewable energy infrastructure. The commencement of production at its solar module unit signifies a leap forward in innovation and sustainability within the solar energy sector.

Indosol Solar’s participation in the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme further demonstrates its technical and financial prowess. Securing significant allocations under the scheme, including the highest PLI amount under Tranche-2, validates its position as a leader in the renewable energy market.

As the facility reaches full-scale operations, it is expected to have a positive economic impact on up to 100,000 individuals and generate direct and indirect employment opportunities for over 23,000 people in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
