Rays Power Infra Pvt Ltd., Indian solar power company, on Tuesday announced that it has appointed Rahul Mishra as the CEO to lead its new business initiative under Rays Future Energy India Pvt. Ltd.
“The new company will be focusing on distributed solar generation including rooftop solutions, Energy Storage, E- Vehicle & associated infrastructure and solar energy based products,” the New Delhi-based company said in a statement.
Rahul Mishra who comes in as an equity partner will be responsible for spearheading the overall management and the day to day business operations of the firm.
“We are extremely excited to bring Rahul Mishra on board. he brings with him over 14 years of cumulative experience in the energy sector across conventional and renewable energy,” Commenting on the appointment, Ketan Mehta, CEO, Rays Power Infra said.
Prior to joining Rays Future Energy India, Mishra was working with Nereus Capital, a private equity fund focused on investing in the Indian renewable energy sector. He has also worked with AES India where he was managing the business development efforts on originating, developing, contracting, financing and execution of wind based power projects in India.
He also worked with Power Finance Corporation, one of the largest lender in the Indian power sector, and was part of the core group established to manage the bidding process and development of 4000 MW each, ultra mega power projects (UMPP’s).
According to the company’s statement, Mishra was also involved in setting up the Indian operations of GE Energy Financial Services (EFS) in India and South East Asia region and was part of the underwriting team evaluating transactions across region.
