Tata Power Delhi Distribution, a JV between Tata Power and the government of NCT of Delhi, has commissioned a 66/11 kV AIS grid substation at Dheerpur, Delhi, on 9 January, 2017.
The unmanned grid substation has an installed capacity of 50 MVA, with 16 outgoing feeders at 11 kV level, and will be remotely operated from Tata Power-DDL’s Supervisory Controlled and Data Acquisition Centre (SCADA).
It has an incoming supply from four 66 kV composite circuits transmitting two lines from 220 kV DTL Gopalpur grid and two lines from 66 kV TPDDL Jahangirpuri grid.
The grid substation will benefit more than 56,500 existing and new customers in Dheerpur, Burari, Indravihar, Mukherjee Nagar, Jahangirpuri, Wazirabad Water Works and adjoining areas. It will improve the reliability of electricity supply and load growth in the areas.
