NISOC to Launch New Projects to Maintain Oil Production

The CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) said the company was about to launch 7 project packages for maintaining and enhancing crude oil production in the fields it operates.

 

NISOC contributes to nearly 80% of Iran’s crude oil output.

 

NISOC has defined 28 such packages to be implemented in the fields it operates in southern Iran.

 

According to Ahmad Mohammadi, the 7 packages include Ahvaz 14, Ramin, Maroon 25, Mansourabad and Zilaei projects.

 

The fields are operated by Maroon, Karoon, Gachsaran and Masjed Soleiman Oil and Gas Production Companies, all NISOC subsidiaries.

 

All the projects will be developed by Iranian firms, said Mohammadi, adding the projects entail 87 drilling, workover, downhole pump installation operations.

 

Currently, 6 production maintenance and enhancement packages are under way in Mansouri Asmari, Ramshir, Gachsaran Khami, Lali Asmari, Kaboud and Nargesi fields.
