Engie Solutions Wins Major Saudi FM Contracts

Engie Solutions, a part of global energy player Engie Group, said it has secured a major contract to provide facilities management (FM) services to two big projects in Saudi Arabia: the King Salman Energy Park (Spark) being developed by Energy City Development Company and International Maritime Industries (IMI).

Engie Solutions is an international leader in providing low-carbon energy and innovative integrated facilities management solutions.

The French company signed the partnership agreements with Spark and IMI during the Aramco IKTVA Forum and Exhibition 2020.

As per the contracts, Engie Solutions will deliver world-class services using computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) to these two projects, said the statement from the company.

The company will also manage future costing and lifecycle of the project, providing real-time information to IMI concerning assets, work orders, and the performance of sub-contractors, it added.

On the contract win, Nicholas Powell, General Manager of Engie Solutions (Saudi Arabia), said: "We are exceptionally pleased to have been chosen to work with Spark and IMI for these iconic projects. The FM market in Saudi Arabia is transitioning towards being performance-based, adopting higher standards with better reporting."

"Backed by global expertise, Engie Solutions is ideally positioned to enable this transition, and we look forward to adding value to Spark and IMI’s projects as a result of our partnership," he added.

Engie (Saudi Arabia) CEO Turki AlShehr said: "We are setting standards across the globe as a provider of bespoke facilities management services, which incorporate cutting edge technologies to deliver real results."

"The new partnerships with Spark and IMI represent a significant step in further establishing Engie Group’s presence in Saudi Arabia," he added.

Spark’s President & CEO Saif Al Qahtani said the upcoming energy park is set to soon distinguish itself as a leading global energy, industrial, and technology hub; cementing Saudi Arabia’s positioning on the international markets as a progressive innovator in these fields.

"At maturity, it will be home to over 300 industrial, technology, and service facilities focused on the energy sector," he added.
