GAIL standalone net up 20 per cent in Q4
GAIL (India) Ltd. has reported a standalone net profit of ₹11.2223 billion for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2019. This represents a 19.72 percent increase over the net profit of ₹10.2092 billion recorded in the same quarter of the previous financial year. Total income during the quarter under review rose by 24.98 percent to ₹196.2975 billion.
The company’s board has recommended the issuance of fully paid up bonus share in the ratio of 1:1. This means, the shareholders will get one more fully paid up share for each share held.
The board has also recommended a pre-bonus final dividend of 17.70 percent (₹1.77 on equity share of ₹10 each) for the fiscal year 2018-2019, a company statement said. This will amount to ₹3.9915 billion.
On a consolidated basis, in FY2018-19, the total income was ₹774.8844 billion as against ₹555.0703 billion during the previous year, registering an increase of 39.60 percent. For the GAIL (India) group, net profit for 2018-19 was ₹65.5277 billion to ₹ 48.0505 billion in the previous year, registering an increase of 36.37 percent.
