Centre Approves Rs 190 Cr Terminal for Kartarpur Corridor

The corridor will connect Darbar Sahib in Pakistan’s Kartarpur--with the Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur district of Punjab. The terminal building, spread over 50 acres will be developed in two phases. In the Phase-I, around 15 acres will be developed. Land has been acquired for the Phase-I. In the Phase-II, a hospital, accommodation and other amenities for pilgrims will be developed.

The Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI), mandated to build and operate integrated check posts along the land borders of the country, will develop the terminal building. LPAI has to complete the construction before the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak in November 2019.
