Shelf Drilling Bags 3-yr Contract for Jack-Up Rig

Shelf Drilling said it won a three-year contract extension for High Island V jack-up rig for its existing customer.

 

The Dubai-headquartered company said the rig won a new contract in direct continuation of its current contract with the same customer, Shelf Drilling said in a statement.

 

Shelf Drilling did not revealed the name of its customer nor the value of the new three-year deal. However, according to reports, the High Island V rig has been awarded this contract by Saudi state-run oil company Saudi Aramco.

 

The driller said that the expected availability of the rig is now March 2022.

 

Shelf Drilling is an international shallow water offshore drilling contractor with rig operations across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, India, West Africa and the Mediterranean.

 

With 39 rigs in 11 countries, the company was set up in 2012 is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
