NTPC's Kahalgaon Power Station Aims to Produce Electricity at Low Cost

Date : Nov 18, 2016

Indian Public Sector Undertaking, NTPC's Kahalgaon Super Thermal Power Station (KSTPS) is planning to generate electricity at a low cost.

The company has stopped utilising imported coal from January 2016 with zero effluent discharge.

The company aims to support PM Narendra Modi's vision of providing electricity to every household by 2022.

The plant intends to reduce the production cost and regulate coal resources in order to compete with challenges from private electricity production units across India.
