The biggest industrial sewage treatment center was put into operation in Mahshahr Special Economic and Petrochemical Zone by the Head of the Department of Environment Masoomeh Ebtekar on Tuesday.
Indigenized technology was used for commissioning the project.
A total of 40,000 cubic meters/day industrial and medical sewage will be hence treated, recycling about 80 percent of the sewage.
Ebtekar was on a tour of Mahshahr Special Economic and Petrochemical Zone in Khouzestan Province and during her stay a contract was signed for sale of flare gas to the private sector.
She was accompanied in her visit by such petrochemical industry figures as Shahdaie, Managing Director of Persian Gulf Holding Company Adel Nejadsalim.
During Ebtekar stay, executive operations were launched for implementation of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company sewage treatment center and the color alkaline like of the Company will be out of production cycle as mercury will be filtered out and replaced by hollow fiber membrane.
Among other programs of her visit was signing a deal for establishment of Petrochemical Natural Museum Garden.
