Shell Lubricants India Names Raman Ojha as Country Head

Lubricant maker Shell India has announced that the company has elevated Raman Ojha as the Country Head of the company starting this October. He has succeeded Mansi Tripathy, who moves on to take over as the Vice President, Lubricants, Asia Pacific Middle East (APME) region, as per the company release. Under his new role, he will be on delivering growth both for Shell’s customers and Shell Lubricants through sustainable business models and offerings in a world challenged by energy transition.

 

Commenting on Raman’s new role, Mansi Tripathy, said, “It’s my pleasure to hand over the reins to Raman. With his extensive wealth of knowledge and experience, I am confident that he will be successful in taking the company to even greater heights.” Raman joined Shell in 2005 as a Management Consultant in the Shell Downstream Consulting Practice. In the last 14 years, he has served as Business Head for Shell Bitumen Asia, Business Head for Shell Bitumen Americas, Vice Chairman for Shell Foshan JV in China, and Business Head for Shell Bitumen China.

 

His responsibilities have included managing sales, operations and delivery of projects that entailed business turnarounds, new market entries and portfolio actions. In his past role, he was responsible for developing the strategy and marketing plans for Shell’s Bitumen and Sulphur businesses globally, aligned with the company’s goal of providing more and cleaner solutions for the construction and fertilizer industries, while addressing energy use and circular design.

 

Speaking about his appointment, Ojha said, “It has been an incredible journey at Shell, and I am excited to dive into this new chapter. We are on a positive growth trajectory at Shell Lubricants, with India being one of our fastest growing markets. I look forward to leading the business in its next phase of growth and market leadership, driven by a customer centric mindset.”
