IOTC Preparing Khark Oil Terminal for 0.7mb Export Capacity

Iranian Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) is providing the infrastructure for boosting loading and storage capacity of Khark Oil Terminal to up to 700,000 barrels per day, IOTC CEO said.

Speaking to source, Pirouz Mousavi said on Monday that the plan will become operational within the next two years once crude oil output of West Karoun fields reaches 700,000 barrels per day.

Mousavi, referring to the export of the first Pars Oil consignment from the terminal of Behregan, said, "Shipment of the consignment is being carried out at the terminal of Bahregan, but given the plan to increase the capacity of West Karoun oil output on the one hand and the export limitations of Bahregan Terminal, on the other, this will be a temporary arrangement, and Kharg Oil Terminal will be prepared for continuation of Pars Oil exports."
