NIOC Inks 2D Seismic Contract with OIEC Subsidiary

A contract for the Dashtkuh 2D seismic project was signed between the exploration department of the National Iranian Oil Company and the Kish Oil Engineering Services Company, a subsidiary of the Oil Industries Engineering and Construction (OIEC).

 

A contract for a two-dimensional seismic project for Dashtkuh Field was signed by Seyed Saleh Hindi, Director of Exploration of the National Iranian Oil Company, and Alireza Behbahaninia, Chairman of the Board of Kish Petroleum Engineering Services.

 

Dashtkuh seismic project encompasses 2,200 km of seismic data in the provinces of Lorestan, Ilam, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Khuzestan, Bushehr, Fars and Hormozgan with a credit of Rls. 7,000 billion in a period of 24 months.

 

In the data collection phase of this project, a significant part of Lorestan area, South Paydar, Arjan and Mamatin area, Shoor-Shapoor-Mahour and Haleh areas and also Sarchan area will be explored.

 

This seismic project will directly play an important role in creating employment for indigenous peoples by creating jobs for thousands of people.
